Vino Vero began with a simple idea: that the wines of Moldova deserve a place on tables across Europe. What started as a personal passion has grown into a small, curated collection from four producers, brought here directly from family run estates.

The beginning
A discovery in the vineyards
In the south of Moldova, family estates make wines that rarely reach the shelves of Western Europe: Fetească Neagră with depth, Viorica with perfume, Rară Neagră with a lightness all its own.
Vino Vero exists to bring those wines to your table, one producer at a time.
The heritage
The Moldovan connection
Moldova has made wine for thousands of years, on the same latitude as Burgundy, between the Black Sea and the Carpathians. Its own grapes, Fetească Neagră, Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală, Rară Neagră and Viorica, grow beside the international varieties, and its cellars are among the largest in the world.
The producers we work with keep that heritage alive: hand harvests, long ageing in oak, and a respect for the land that shows in the glass.
