Petit Chateau Cristi Chardonnay

White wine · 750ml

A young Chardonnay from the Petit range, expressive and full of orchard fruit. It is fermented at low temperatures with selected yeasts and bottled under inert gas to protect it from oxidation. The grapes grow on the estate vineyards at Găvănoasa, in southern Moldova. Light, fresh and best served well chilled, this is a straightforward white for everyday drinking.

The producer

Château Cristi

Château Cristi was founded in 1882 by Vladimir Cristi, a mayor of Chișinău. The estate farms 120 hectares near Găvănoasa, in Valul lui Traian in the south of Moldova, with twelve grape varieties. Its estate wines are harvested by hand, kept to six tonnes a hectare and aged six to twelve months in oak.
