A dry white blending Chardonnay with Riesling, the grapes hand picked at full ripeness and given a short maceration before fermentation. They come from the estate vineyards at Găvănoasa, in southern Moldova. Bright and floral, with lightly mineral notes of lemon, peach and mango.

The producer

Château Cristi

Château Cristi was founded in 1882 by Vladimir Cristi, a mayor of Chișinău. The estate farms 120 hectares near Găvănoasa, in Valul lui Traian in the south of Moldova, with twelve grape varieties. Its estate wines are harvested by hand, kept to six tonnes a hectare and aged six to twelve months in oak.
