Chateau Cristi Pinot Noir Rosé

2022Rosé wine · 750ml

A dry rosé from Pinot Noir, pale and delicate, made by light pressing and a cool fermentation that keeps the aromatics intact. The grapes are hand picked on the estate vineyards at Găvănoasa, in the protected Valul lui Traian zone of southern Moldova. Fresh fruit and flowers carry a silky texture in the glass, with pleasant acidity and a refined, persistent close.

The producer

Château Cristi

Château Cristi was founded in 1882 by Vladimir Cristi, a mayor of Chișinău. The estate farms 120 hectares near Găvănoasa, in Valul lui Traian in the south of Moldova, with twelve grape varieties. Its estate wines are harvested by hand, kept to six tonnes a hectare and aged six to twelve months in oak.
