The story

Aurelius is a range from Maurt, a Moldovan producer in Codru, the wine region at the centre of the country. Its still wines set Moldovan grapes such as Fetească Regală, Viorica and Fetească Neagră beside international ones such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The reds spend twelve months in oak barrels, and two of the whites, the Fetească Regală and the Pinot Gris, carry the protected geographical indication of Codru.

The sparkling family is made by the Charmat method, from Glera, Fetească Regală, Pinot Noir and Muscat, and runs from brut nature, the driest style, to sweet Muscat. The sweetest of them is a sparkling ice wine from Fetească Regală, with 210 grams of sugar a litre and nine degrees of alcohol.
